Community Food Bank is promoting HungerWalk 2019. This is a fun, family-friendly event on September 14th in both Tucson and Green Valley. The public is invited to walk to raise awareness of hunger in our community, and take action toward our vision of a healthy hunger free future for southern Arizona.

In Arizona, 1 in 4 children and 1 in 5 adults are at risk of hunger. In Tucson, the walk starts at Sam Lena Park in the Kino Sports Complex. People walk up Country Club to the main warehouse of the Community Food Bank and walk thru the warehouse to see how we fight hunger together. The walk includes a tour of the learning garden at the Community Food Bank, then walkers return to the starting point at Sam Lena Park. In Green Valley, the walk starts at The Shoppes at La Posada. Walkers can choose from two routes – a longer or shorter option.

Register and find more info about HungerWalk here.

CFB photography and memorabilia is on display in the windowed room September 1-30, 2019.
