Description

Peg Bowden is the author of A Stranger at My Door: Finding My Humanity on the US-Mexico Border

Peg Bowden

When a man appears at the door of her home in the Sonoran desert lost and half-dead, Peg Bowden must examine the values that drive her life choices, which aren't currently aligned with the politics of her homeland. This true story of shared humanity explores the literal and metaphorical significance of the borders in our lives, and the fear and xenophobia that keep them standing.

Published in 2019, A Stranger at My Door: Finding My Humanity on the US-Mexico Border is a memoir by author, activist, musician, and retired nurse Peg Bowden.
