One-on-one Consultation with Writer-in-Resident Lori Alexander

Aspiring and experienced writers, take note! Our summer Writer in Residence, Lori Alexander, will have office hours in May, June and July 2022.

She will offer eight 30-minute one-on-one sessions per week on Saturdays at Nanini Library and Wednesdays at Oro Valley Library in June and July with a few sessions in May.

Register now to get advice, feedback, pointers, and tips on writing and publishing. Lori Alexander is a children’s book author who can answer questions about writing and publishing fiction and non-fiction for all age levels.

Registration for Saturday one-on-one consultations opens the Saturday morning one week before each session. Call (520) 594-5365 or stop by the Nanini Library to register. Limit one session per week.

Registration for Wednesday one-on-one consultations opens Wednesday morning one week before each session. Call (520) 594-5580 or stop by the Oro Valley Library to register. Limit one session per week.


Lori Alexander has written picture books like BACKHOE JOE and FAMOUSLY PHOEBE as well as the FUTURE BABY board book series. Her first chapter book, ALL IN A DROP: HOW ANTONY VAN LEEUWENHOEK DISCOVERED AN INVISIBLE WORLD received a Sibert Honor Award for distinguished nonfiction. Her newest book, A SPORTING CHANCE: HOW LUDWIG GUTTMANN CREATED THE PARALYMPIC GAMES, was a Junior Library Guild Selection and received a Kirkus starred review.
