Woods Memorial Library

Description

Woods Memorial Library is starting a youth-led Health Action Team. We invite Middle and High School age people to our library on Wednesday and Friday afternoons 2-5pm this summer to invent and create this unique team. Through your action this year, you will help yourself and your friends. It’s hard to be physically and emotionally healthy – especially now.

Health Action Team Open Labs are your chance to plan and execute individual or group projects based on your interests that contribute to personal and community health. Projects areas can include:

  • Photo and video journalism
  • Podcasting and conversations
  • Coding and game design
  • Hashtag activism and TikTok advocacy
  • Book trailers and short films
  • Zine making and low tech media
  • Creative non-fiction like letters to the editor
  • Poetry and fiction
  • Art and Photography
  • Infographic, comic and graphic art
  • Digital storytelling
  • 2D and 3D Art
  • Whatever your interests!

Youth age 14 and older will receive credit as a library volunteer. Take a leadership role and build your resume.
