Description

I try to bring warmth and loving stories, to portray my inner self. I use different mediums to express my art, for instance, the canvas size depends on my mood.

When I use a large canvas size, it means I’m in my element and feeling creative, a small canvas size means I have an idea but not enough to fill a large canvas.

I enjoy writing short children’s stories, and poems, along with the illustrations to match. When I work with clay, I try to recreate memories from my childhood, which was filled with food, warmth, and tradition.

My jewelry reflects the Stars and the sky and is meant to reflect the universe.

I blow my heart out on the saxophone and dabble with the drum. The saxophone is from my high school years. I like to think my only brother, Tony, long since gone will hear me, it helps me reminisce.

My Father before he had arthritic ridden hands, loved woodwork. He made Toys out of solid blocks of wood, my hands like his are my tools.

When I see someone appreciate my art, I would like to think it warms their heart, they take a little part of my past and my universe with them.

One creative Soul,

G. Altamirano
