This book was just wonderful. In fact, I bought a copy for myself because I loved it so much. We have a pit bull in the family - the gentlest, sweetest dog you will ever meet, but unfortunately outlawed in Ontario. This story teaches a…

Most of the reviews I read about this author state this is her best book. Maybe because I read The Dog Who Danced first I really enjoyed that book more. The amazing thing with this author that I was amazed with, was how she tells the story…

Good story but very disappointed with the language. The F bombs used were totally unnecessary.

A rich, deep story. A self-made man, who loses everything, and a stray pit bull, born and bred to fight, are brought together by chance. Neither plan to become a pack... but the power of companionship brings a balm of healing to their…

One of those rare books that makes you see something in a different light. I am looking at my own dog from a totally different perspective now! I love the way the author writes part of the story from the perspective of the dog. By the…

If you enjoyed The Art of Racing in the Rain, this is an excellent read-a-like. Dog and man come together at a time when they need it most. Both learn from one another in a pull your heart strings sort of way. Definitely worth reading!

I am not a dog lover and was expecting this story to be kind-of sappy but I was pleasantly surprised. Both man and dog are outcasts who meet at a time when they both need the other the most. Warning - keep a box of kleenex handy.

Really glad I read this. Pit Bull and man end up together. Part of it was about what happens to fighting pit bulls......true but so horrific.

I loved that March and the other characters in the book were so human. They felt like people we meet every day. Great story.

A man that has everything and loses it and a dog bred for fighting end up learning together about the important things in life. A good read, but if you are squeamish about animal cruelty then it is a little tough to take.

Really enjoyed this book and have recommended it to all my friends and even my husband! The author writes in a level higher than I admit I am at...but contextually, it's easy to understand. Great story!
