Count your blessings; they can be snatched away in an instant. It is a sentiment Milla Edge knows too well. With an astonishing blend of savvy, instinct, and passion, Milla displays an uncanny gift for finding lost children. When all seems helpless, desperate souls from across the country come to her for hope and results. Driven by an obsessive desire to fill the void in other people's lives, Milla throws herself into every case, all the while trying to outrun the brutal emotions stemming from a horrific tragedy in her past.

Having moved with her physican husband to Mexico for a short-term medical assignment, Milla Edge is stabbed and has her infant son wrenched from her arms in a marketplace. Ten years later, divorced and back in the States, she has opened an agency that searches for missing children. Though people have told her to move on, Milla has never given up on finding her son. When Milla receives an anonymous tip that a man named Diaz is somehow linked to her son's disappearance -- the first new information to come her way in a very long time -- she begins the search anew, even if it means joining forces with the widely feared Diaz. Parts of Cry No More weren't all that original (good girl falls for tall, dark, and dangerous; bad guy is someone who was under your nose all along), and the bad guy's identity was obvious fairly early. But the story was interesting enough to earn three stars.
