Nicholas Angel is the finest cop London has to offer. He has an arrest record that is higher than any other officer on the force. As a result, Angel's superiors send him to a place where his talents won't be quite so obvious: the sleepy and seemingly crime-free village of Sandford.

"Hot Fuzz" of the "Three Flavours Cornetto" trilogy is my favorite of the bunch. Everything from the writing to the cinematography is top-notch. All the actors do a fantastic job, and Simon Pegg/Nick Frost as an acting duo are the modern day Laurel and Hardy. This movie also just gets better each time you watch it, so do yourself a favor and give it another go.

Basics of the film? It's your basic shoot-em-up cop film (set in an idyllic English village). It knows it, and it has a ton of fun with it.

***Warning*** the deaths are pretty gruesome. Probably my only fault with the movie as I'm squeamish of such things.

After being a respectable police officer in his former town, Nicholas Angel is saddened after being moved to a slower paced town with a laughable police force. However, after a series of gruesome murders occur in this small town, Nicholas is determined to find the cause. This movie is very similar to Shaun of the Dead, with the same director, actors, and a similar storyline. The movie is comedic, well directed, and has a realistic script. I would rate this movie 4.5/5 stars and recommend it to lover’s of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost since it pays homage to these actors. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library.

Just an OK movie, if you have nothing better to do go ahead and watch it. I almost turned it off half way through but out of curiosity I stayed to the end.

The first 2/3rds entertain. It's clever, well-written and peopled by a lot of British actors that will be familiar (although you may not be able to name most of them.) The final 1/3 is a torturous action-packed, improbable mess and looks like it was pasted on to a different movie entirely. As I was watching it I though it would make a great TV series, but of course it wasn't to be; happily in case the creators used the last part as a basis.

Hot Fuzz is an entertaining British action/comedy and buddy cop movie from the director and writers of Shaun of the Dead and The World's End. It is overly long for the type of movie it is and would have been better with some additional editing, but it is redeemed by leads Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, a good supporting cast and very funny lines and scenes throughout. I can't help but enjoy all the references to Point Break also. Hot Fuzz is rated R for language and violent content, including some graphic images. Warning: it is very gory.

This is and utterly silly "Mel Brooks type" police action movie. Probably best watched while heavily imbibing in adult beverages.

Genial and fast-paced but utterly predictable. Best part is the super sound mix (DTS) on the Blu-Ray copies.

I don't think I "get" Simon Pegg.

A really great, funny, and enjoyable movie from Simon Pegg. Also check out "Paul" and others from him.
