From Library Staff

Ages 4-8. I couldn't resist adding this story about New York City's first Hispanic librarian, Pura Belpré. Belpré started NYPL's first bilingual storytime and her legacy is still a model for library immigrant services.

This book is so wonderful! Pura Belpre is a true S/hero! I'm so glad I read this book, and it's a wonderful story, illustrations, and the stories within the story, and celebration of Three Kings Day! Recommend to everyone!
PS a good read with Mi Abuelita by Tony Johnston.
