It can be hard to transfer quirky scifi to the big screen and this classic definitely got lost in translation.

Were I to get stranded in outer space with my choice of one book to read, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy would be my choice.

This book is incredibly funny, if a little screwy. The humor is of a strange variety and I can definitely see some finding it very weird, but I found it to be a great read. Just don't think too deeply into how it all makes sense, because it doesn't.
