Ecological Intelligence by Daniel Goleman does an excellent job of representing the big, global issues of consumerism and ecological wisdom. The book also provides us with the facts and a strategy for making better individual choices when we purchase or support products.

I enjoyed listening to the audio version and highly recommend it.

This might make sense for someone who hasn't heard of ecological footprint. For my taste, there was too much talk and no concrete, measurable information, so I gave it up after listening to about half.
