Was Sue Grafton always this bad a writer? Is it series fatigue? 25% repetition from earlier books, 10% gross anachronisms, turgid prose, hokey dialogue, predictable plot developments, improbable ending... yeesh.
I plan to skip the rest of the alphabet...
This easy page turner is a delight. Ms G's voice and pace have not deteriorated at all as she makes her way through the alphabet.
Having read all of Sue Grafton's book I was eager to read her latest and enjoyed it thoroughly as usual.Kinsey Millhone is unchanged and a lot of fun as usual.
Another good one from Grafton. This one is interesting because it weaves in and out of various decades to finally reach the end.

I haven't read a Sue Grafton in a long time, and needed an escape so picked up U. I was surprised by how readable and competent this book was, and how enjoyable to drift along through an interesting, suspenseful story.
