i just love Carolyn Meyers work, how she tells stories for a woman's perspective, i never even knew that William Shakespeare had a wife. it takes awhile to get to the part where they are officially dating, but that doesn't mean that this book isn't interesting i would recommend it to people who like history (like me.

It was okay. Not sure that I would recommend it to anyone. Seemed to take forever to get to the part where "Anne" and Will acutually have a romantic connection. The focus was more on the life of Agnes as a whole, not just her love for Shakespeare. Which wasn't what I was expecting.

Shakespeare was married to his career!! We know little about Agnes (Ann) Shakespeare --this well-researched novel does enlighten us-----
