Patton Oswalt in the tiny little fat guy that used to be on the sitcom "The King of Queens."
He is a pretty funny stand-up. There are some totally hilarious chapters, but there are many dead spots; at least for me,
This book is a 4 star for his fans, but a 3 star for all the rest of us.

This book is so easy to read! It's like a phone call from an old friend. I am connecting with ALL the words; every scenario is richly composed but with just a touch of aloofness that makes it amusing to me. Can I say, it is FUN to read!

I like Patton Oswalt's standup and appearances on other TV shows, but his book just didn't do it for me. Way too many TV show and book references, many of which I didn't know, so I didn't keep reading.

The funny parts of the book are few unfortunately. However, the parts that are funny are excellent.

Oswalt is a little too angsty/hipster for my liking but his prose is still fairly interesting to read.

It's a quick read so I would say go for it, but don't expect much.
