I couldn't get into this book. Tried, gave it the 100-page test, and just didn't grab me, so I gave up

I really love Richard North Patterson but I snapped The Devil's Light shut about 1/3 of the way. The muslim world he describes is way beyond my comprehension. I found it boring and depressing.
