I am reading every book in this series. The heroes of the story are comfortably middle aged. There is a homey comfortable setting to the mysteries.Good clean read if you like your mysteries without graphic gore and sex, which I do.

I enjoy the Fresh-baked mystery series.
The ladies are good friends. Disagree sometimes but they are there for each other.

I am enjoying the Fresh-baked Mystery series. I love that Phyllis (a woman in her 60s I think) is a retired teacher who has other retired teachers boarding in her home. Her life is full and interesting, and she and her friend Carolyn are both excellent bakers, competing in baking contests all over Texas. The fact that Phyllis also finds dead bodies and murders is a plus. I'll keep reading this series.
