Story is bit windy given new characters & new mission ,but not as wordy or long as say David Weber.

very readable, advances the story-line and character development nicely, but it is really meant to lead into Invincible, the next book in the series. I have to wonder if they were originally one big book.

Another very easy to read book in the Lost Fleet series, looking forward to the next edition.
