Loved it! I've not read these in order, but at least with Wards books, you really don't have to. I enjoyed learning about Jessup. It about killed me with what happened at his wedding to Matilda. I never got bored with this book. Can't say that I've ever read a "bad" book by Kenyon. I'd definitely suggest it for a good read. Lots of action, and the romance had me putting my hand to my chest. *sigh*

Book 20 about Sundown (Jessy) and Abigail; preceded by No Mercy and followed by The Guardian. Not my favourite; since it the precursor for The Guardian & Time Untime - I am in no hurry to read those. **p.s. I just finished the guardian & it was good**

Retribution is the first book I've read about gods and it is nothing like watching Hercules or Thor. I enjoyed it thoroughly and look forward to reading more about dark-hunters and the gods they deal with.

Was so happy to hear that Jess AKA Sundown finally got his own book. Loved him since he appeared in Zarek's book. His story is so riveting. Could not put this book down.

Thank you for another great book in this wonderful series. I am so glad that she included the birth of Acheron's son. He is the most important person/God in this series. He brings it all together.

Oh My Gosh!
The Dark-Hunter Series has 31 books in it! These books must be really, really, really, really good to have 31 published books for one series!

“All right." He straightened up and seemed to be true to his promise to let it go. "I will be a man about this."
That lasted until he saw the scratches on the hood from the mountain lion and the front fender, Where Abigail had dragged it off the driveway.
Wailing, he went to it and sank to his knees. He sprawled over the hood and laid his head on the damaged fender. "I'm so sorry, Bets. I should of hidden the keys. Booted your tires. Something. I had know idea anyone would hurt you so, baby. I swear I'll never let anyone hurt you again. Ayyy, how could they do this to you? How? Oh the humanity!”

Acheron always says that our scars are there to remind us of out pasts, of where we've been and what we've gone through. But that pain doesn't have to drive or determine our future. We can rise about it if we let ourselves. It's not easy, but nothing in life ever is."
