An extremely comprehensive review of the factors affecting growth at different stages of economic development. Fascinating.

Just my opinion, but I could not work up much enthusiasm for this book. I had high expectations, but the writing style was somehow dry as that of a career bureaucrat. Too many other appealing books on this same subject for me to bother with this one.
