Rate this:
Peter Sharp is an attorney who lives on a boat, but doesn't even know how to start its engines. He also thinks he's a pretty good lawyer, but behind the scenes, his legal ward Suzi is really the brains behind his solving crimes and winning cases. Peter's dock neighbor Tony is charged with murder. He's a suspended police officer with a known dislike for people the color of his alleged victim. He's also the subject of many citizen complaints for using excessive force in the minority community. At Suzi's request, Tony taught her how to help him re-load his target practice ammunition, also giving her a basic knowledge of ballistics. When a local black movie producer who Tony was working for while on suspension gets killed, Suzi talks Peter into handling Tony's defense. Along the way, Peter once again gets involved with who he thinks might be 'Miss Right,' represents a 500-pound woman who is being discriminated against, uncovers a white supremacist militant organization, and also stumbles onto a group of people who are pirating DVD copies of recently released major motion pictures. As usual, the case winds up surprising everyone, when Suzi reveals who the guilty party is, in a stunning courtroom appearance.
