Dr. Brawley exposes the underbelly of healthcare today--the under-treatment of the poor, the over-treatment of the rich, the financial conflicts of interests physicians face, insurance that doesn't demand the best (or even cheapest) care, and a pharmaceutical behemoth concerned with selling drugs, not providing health.

Wonderfully written book, from a doctor who takes his Hippocratic oath seriously. Dr. Brawley pulls back the veil on the myriad conflicts of interest and shortcomings inherent in the current cancer treatment system, and the vagaries in treatment that result. While focused on cancer, the concerns and findings laid out in this book extend to the entire health field.
I highly recommend this book to anyone - regardless of their current health situation, or that of their family members.
Knowledge is a powerful thing, and you will be a much better advocate for your health, and the health of loved ones, after reading this book.
