This was one of the best books in the Chicagoland Vampires series in my opinion. I really enjoy the on, off relationship that Merit and Ethan have. It keeps you wondering if things will every work for them. Also, Mallory and Catcher's relationship isn't going too well. I don't want to give away anything, but if you like this series, you need to read this book.

I love this series of vampire books! The romance is just enough to get you all warm inside but not trashy. The characters are all so interesting and different from each other. So well put together and I can't help but wish I was Merit!

The author seems to want to rescue everyone - whether it's to bring them back to life, or have them redeem themselves so eventually they can be friends again. And it happens so unnaturally. Then there's the lack of depth on some of the story lines - like what's up with Jeff, and his girlfriend, etc. I'm still curious to see what happens in the series, but I am not waiting with baited breath.

Better than I was expecting, but rather simplistic. Mallory's final outcome seemed much too easily accomplished to be completely believable (yes, I know it's fiction, but I still expect it to be at least halfway possible), but I can't go into detail without spoiling anything for those who haven't read it. The ending of the previous book really left me torn as to whether I wanted to go on with the series, and while I'm glad did, I don't have the same enthusiasm for the author as I used to.
