There is a lot to like about this series of books. In this one, sometimes plot developments seem a little easy, a little too tidy for me. This last book added a certain paranormal element that I felt was a cop-out to an otherwise tragic storyline. This last book fell a little flat for me.

I am surprised to say that I liked the last as much as the first two. It's not often an author can keep it together over a series of books.
