Enjoyed this story, had romance, love and a little bit of magic. A fun summer read. There are a couple other books that also take place in this locale with some repeat characters. Nice change of pace.

This fourth addition to the Friday Harbor series describes Justine's pursuit of love. A witch by birth, Justine discovers that a spell has kept her from finding love. Breaking the spell, however, sets forth a dangerous series of events. I loved the other three books, but this one wasn't as good for me. It is hot and steamy, but I found myself frustrated with the main characters too often. Still it is a good romance, and people who have followed the series will enjoy it.

I really like this author, and the Friday Harbor series, but not this book.
It just didn't capture me. To be honest, i didn't like the magic aspect.

This is my first book I have read by this author and I am not sure if I will read anymore. I felt like there is something missing and there just seemed to be long stretches where nothing important seemed to happen.

Not my favourite, more due to the concept of the story than the writing itself.

I, too, rank this book at the bottom of Lisa Kleypas' novels. The increased interest in magic was OK, but the characters were very flat. Justine was more interesting in the other Friday Harbor books where she was only a peripheral character. Ms Kleypas really got carried away in the bedroom scenes - is she branching out to erotica? Definitely my least favorite book - and I actually bought this one! Already listed on paperbackswap, to get it out of the house.

poorly written. This author is better than this book.

I just started reading Kleypas recently and I just loved this book. Fans of Jayne Ann Krentz Arcane series might really like this. I found the characters well developed and really quirky. I read it in one sitting. The only drawback is some of the fantasy goes a little overboard at times but nonetheless, a superb read.

I really liked this book. Yes, it's very different from the usual Lisa Kleypas book - a lot of magic in this one. But I'm a fan of JR Ward and Lara Adrian so I'm used to romance and fantasy mixing to make a good story. I was surprised at how much action there was, considering it takes place in a quiet town.
