My kids love this book. It's funny and very relatable for children, with a sweet ending.

Another masterpiece of Sophie Blackall - my favourite illustrator. My children loved this book. Nice story too, although I (adult) could not really understand Ami's point of view.

Lovely story and illustrations! It looks at a relationship between sisters, and also touches on assimilation as the main sister wants to fit in with her schoolmates.

A real story for real kids. No gimmicks; no adult winks and nods. Gripping plot a kid, especially siblings, especially girls, will "get." An admirable, true-to-life heroine worth "knowing." Depth. A book that doesn't try to be a video game or Saturday morning cartoon. A "giving" book. Perfect ending. A book that is satisfied to be a "book." A beautiful book. A "book."

Wonderful book and illustration. I could relate to such instances in my life growing up. I took my sister to a bunch of birthday parties. :)

Excellent children's book covering sibling rivalry and the deep love just below the ugly layer of jealousy and petty differences that plague all families on a daily basis. I teared up at the end but I may just need to adjust my meds! :)
