Consistent with the high quality of the American Masters series, with good interviews with the subject and his frequent collaborators. Not surprisingly, Brooks is an intelligent, thoughtful man; in his long career he has also learned to package himself, and very clearly appears to be "on" during his interviews. Interesting to see the films his productioncompany was involved with, and to hear the directors talk about their experiences. I was more absorbed in this than I expected to be, since I'm not a huge fan of his work.

Mel Brooks was great at thinking out of the box. His films were funny, interesting and some times shocking.
it's worth your time to watch.
