I liked the part when Smoke chomped on Mrs. Starch's pencil and she told Smoke to write a 500 word essay about pimples!

bad talking and bloody people makes this a 16+ book

This book was about an investigation of an arson. There are a lot of clues to solve the mystery of who set the forest fire. Along with the arson investigation is the concern for the endangered panthers! My favourite part was when they found the Momma Panther. My favourite character was Nick's dad because he is an inspiration. He is inspiring because he had his arm blown off and he is still positive.

This is my favourite book because it is a mystery and it's funny. I also like all of Carl Hiaasan's other books.

I have watched the movie Hoot, but have not read the book, I want to, but my movie watching experience was interupted by many, "Aww!"s and,"So cute!"s from me and my mom. Lol. Thank you, Carl Hiaasen! Best enviroment books ever!

Best one of the series except for Chomp which was pretty good as well.
