In Virginia, there is an agency bearing the bland name of Technical Operations Support Activity, or TOSA. Its one mission is to track, find, and kill those so dangerous to the United States that they are on a short document known as the Kill List. Added to it is a terrorist of frightening effectiveness called the Preacher, who radicalizes young Muslims abroad to carry out assassinations. Unfortunately for him, one of the kills is a retired Marine general, whose son is TOSA's top hunter of men.

I like this author. His story lines are strong. Part of it is like a documentary in the preamble, which I found to be interesting and helpful. All the characters are tied together effectively so you can tie the story together. His plot may have many characters to remember. But, it worked okay for me. There is two main stories which connect together in the end. The first story, there is an Arab who spent a lot of time in England or USA. The story reveals the Koran does not advocate violence on behalf of the religion. It shows that extreme people with a lot of hatred look for an enemy to vent on. In this story, this person, calling himself "The Preacher" is venting toward USA. England is next. He has been putting videos online asking other Muslims to murder in the name of the religion random political people and commit suicide. Some young easily influenced youth have been doing this. Many innocent civilians have been violently murdered in England and USA due to his influence. The USA agencies are all working together to find this man to kill him. The Preacher has been put on the "Terrorist Kill List" in defense of their USA country. They hire someone called a Tracker to go to the middle East. They try to get spies inside the extreme groups to get intelligence. They are trying to assess possible threats. They don't want to hurt innocent civilians. The second story, is a group of Arab pirates attacking merchant ships from other countries. They kidnap the crew and ship asking for a very large ransom to be deposited into their off-shore unnamed bank account. This apparently happens frequently there. They also kidnap USA civilians off the street for ransom too. Someone they kidnapped is sold to The Preacher. The USA Strike Force is sent in to rescue their captor and kill The Preacher.

I'm particular about the readers, sometimes it's the quality of equipment, often the voice. The tab Full Record next to Details often lists the reader & sometimes an excerpt is available. The most memorable Forsyth novel AD for me was The Afgan, probably WMA not MP3. Loved that one.

This interesting well done novel holds interest throughout. I only wish the ending were a bit more expanded. 9 of 10 stars
