Michael Plante, a low-level Hells Angels dog's body in Vancouver, is arrested for extortion in 2003. Coincidentally, police intercept a boat carrying cocaine from Colombia to Vancouver, a shipment arranged by the East End chapter of Vancouver's Hells Angels. The cops need to send someone inside to gather evidence that can be used to arrest and convict the gang. Plante does not want to go to jail. Hall should be embarrassed to put his name on this book. A somewhat coherent, but tedious history of police operations against, and trials of, Hells Angels members in the mid-to-late 2000s.

The book is padded with excerpts of conversations between various HA members and assorted hangers-on. The excerpts provide no insight into what is actually taking place.

The rest of the book dwells on the charges against individuals, what the lawyers said and what the judges decided. Hardly the stuff of high drama.

The author provides little in the way of analysis or insight.

A waste of perfectly good paper.
