Slott carries on with the premise of Doctor Octopus having had hijacked the body of Peter Parker and usurped the role of the web head. His writing style of the megalomaniac playing the hero works well. The art is another story though, and that's entirely the fault of Humberto Ramos, who does half of the work here. Why this man continues to get work is beyond me- the man's artistic style is hideous, and totally devoid of understanding of human anatomy. The art by Ryan Stegman, who does the other half of the collection, helps tremendously, though. His style respects what people actually look like.

I continue to be amazed at how not-terrible this series is.
