Celebrity obsession has reached an all-time high, with the public now clamoring to be infected with the same diseases their idols carry. At the Lucas Clinic, Syd March sells injections of live viruses to those fans who can afford it. But Syd also has a black market trade in illness, selling viruses smuggled in his own body to piracy groups. After super sensation Hannah Geist reveals a new disease she carries, Syd is quick to capitalize on the opportunity and inject himself with some of Hannah's blood. When Hannah dies a few days later, Syd suddenly becomes the target of rival clinics and collectors.

I actually really like this one. It does start off slow, but Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out) is a force to watch. It's perfectly sluggish, creepy & unsettling.

Disjointed, not enough dialogue & moves too slowly. Had to watch several times to finish (& only because I'm obsessive about not giving up on anything I start). Not good at getting its point across ...which 'm not even sure what it is. I guess its for each of us to decide.

just awful

Odd, vile, and pointless. I suppose that they are trying to make that pint about celebrity culture, but it doesn't really come across.

I just couldn't really buy into the premise, and it didn't hold my interest. Sort of boring and disjointed.

The film ironically goes too far, much like it's futuristic projection of America's obsession with celebrities. I will admit that I am not a horror fan but watching the protagonist being duped and beaten all the while suffering from self inflicted disease and hacking up blood is frankly not what I will suffer as entertainment.

I'm a fan of dystopian fiction, science fiction, and dark comedy--but I couldn't even get interested enough in this film to watch it through the end. Although it moves at a snail's pace, it jumps from one scene to another in a way that makes the plot confusing and difficult to follow. Disappointing.

logical extrapolation of the behavior of the idiots who follow the cult of celebrity

I gave this bizarre near future sci-fi horror-ish movie an average rating because honestly I didn't care for it. It was, however, very unique with an interesting premise. The understated effects were pretty gross. The acting was decent. The pace was slow and the storyline was confusing. Sort of a cyberpunk setting (which I usually love) but I just couldn't get into it.

Not a complete waste of time but...almost. It's not necessarily a "bad" movie but it was quite confusing and hard to follow. I was sort of able to realize the plot but if a movie of this caliber is that hard to understand, I get frustrated and bored with its tedium. I would only recommend it if you've got the time to devote to learning its meaning by either watching it multiple times or going online to study its minutia. Otherwise, I'd pass.
