Pilgrim is the code name for a world class and legendary secret agent. His adversary is known only as the Saracen. As a young boy, the Saracen saw his dissident father beheaded in a Saudi Arabian public square, creating a burning desire to destroy the special relationship between the US and the Kingdom. When a woman's body is found in a seedy hotel near Ground Zero, the techniques are pulled from a cult classic of forensic science that Pilgrim wrote under a pen name.

A decent read but a little on the long side. Could definitely benefit from some major editing as there are storylines unnecessary to the plot woven in which do not add much substance and a few eye-roll moments that don't need to be there. But overall the plot is interesting and fast-paced and offers a glimpse into the mindset of those that want to hurt Americans and what the government does to protect us. It barely made my recommended list.

The reader is very good. Story line quite convoluted & long, like a huge pot of soup with everything but the frig thrown in. I certainly learned some things about drugs.
