This film is listed as a comedy and I found that rather misleading. Yes it had funny moments but I found it to have more dramatic and thought provoking moments. I thought that it was rather unusual and I liked it but I wouldn't recommend watching it thinking that laugh out loud more than once or twice.

this is one strange movie! Written, directed and starring Clark Gregg (ABC's Marvel Agents of Shield) Fantasy and reality bend in this movie about a former child actor turned child agent. When he finds his new star, things really go off the rails. I'm not sure I liked it, but I think about it often and I certainly would NOT call it a comedy--more like dramedy.

Quirky, unusual, good acting. I liked it.

This film is a ripoff of Running Scared with the late Paul Walker. That was such a wonderful, twisted, and gritty film. Trust Me starts out in the same fashion and a lot of people seem to miss this: it begins with a lead character suffering from a gunshot wound. I missed that key piece at first too, as the film slowly pulled me in with comedy and extremely likeable characters. About 30 minutes from the end, the humor stops abruptly and things take a dark, serious, and unpleasant tone. So the viewer begins wondering what they missed and the end makes less and less sense. You really should pass on this one. They took what could have been a great feel good movie with a truly original concept and turned it into something ugly leaving you about as happy as you were at the end of watching Leaving Las Vegas.

Disappointing because it was pretty good but could have been better. The film is mostly about charming characters trying to get the big break into pictures. During the last few minutes the picture veers off into darkness with a fantasy ending.

Pretty good movie that misleads you into thinking that it is a comedy with it's clever dialog, but ends up being a serious drama instead. If you go into it thinking of it as being a drama disguised as a comedy you may better appreciate the story.
