I thought this was better than Jon Meacham's "Destiny and Power" book. Most of the personal stories in Meacham's book clearly came George W. Bush because they are also included in this book. This book is much shorter and provided interesting insight to things like the Clarence Thomas hearings and Hirohito's funeral that Meacham skipped over.
Does this book answer the question why Bush 1 invaded Panama and killed several thousand Panamanian citizens? Or why Richard Armitage and James Baker sat on the board of the Kuwaiti oil drilling company which caused the invasion of its country [by slant drilling into neighboring Iraq]? Or why Bush was at Zapata Oil, owned by the Zapata Corporation, a CIA-front company, later merged into a small hedge fund, which owned the satellite company which gave the wrong coordinates to search for missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370?
