Okay, so you don't run long distances. This graphic novel will still make you laugh.

I don't run long distances, only short ones. But this is a hysterical book that rings true!

Like the author, I believe in imaginary cherubs that follow me while I run. Ok, while I jog...slowly. "Let's go home! Netflix isn't going to watch itself!"

A fun, funny approach to a running book. A good read if you are looking for something other than the standard training manuals or famous-athlete memoirs.

Terrible. Garish colours, cartoonish drawings, and juvenile narration.

The Oatmeal has long been a favourite of mine for his humour and his easy-to-follow grammar and punctuation cartoons. Seriously - you need to read his piece on apostrophes. Go do that.
Anyway, this book is a very honest and revealing look at his OTHER main activity. He runs, but he doesn't run because it's a joyous experience, or because it puts him in touch with his inner self or whatever. He runs because he doesn't want to be fat again, and he spends most of his working life in front of a computer.
It may not inspire you to get out there and run an ultra marathon, but it will make you stop and wonder why you don't do more exercise yourself.
And I mean it about the apostrophes.
