Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body began shutting down-- overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her inherent worth-- and the actual cause of her disease. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else's expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself-- and that there are miracles in the universe that she had never even imagined.

I can't say enough about this book! It's so good that I've already recommended it to several friends, family members and colleagues. It was uplifting and mind-expanding, sure to spur me to continue to reflect on it; in fact, I plan to buy it to do just that. A real winner!

Her experience is interesting, as is the life she describes in the communities that she grew up in.

However, I ended up ultimately unsatisfied. There is a lot of repetition that I grew tired of hearing. I would have enjoyed the same concepts and suggestions in a smaller book.

But, if people adopted the beliefs that she has, the world would be a gentler place, and that's a good thing.
