This book absolutely flew by. The plot flowed so seamlessly that it didn't feel like separate scenes, but all one beautiful and exciting thing that had to be taken in all at once.
I loved the introduction of new types of sorcery, along with new threats to Antion and to Alexa personally. The first book was so wonderful and could have worked as a standalone, so part of me worried that the sequel would feel tacked on, but it absolutely did not feel like that. This just took everything that was fought for in the first book and amped the stakes up even higher. I'm so excited for the conclusion to this amazing series.

A good continuation of this intriguing trilogy.

As soon as I had finished the first book, Defy I knew I was in for a roller coaster when I would start to read book number two in the series. Defy had wrapped up things pretty nicely, so I was excited as to what would happen in Alexa’s life next. Not even a day later I had borrowed Ignite from the library and began to read. The story line was simply fascinating, there was a lot of eye-catching things like kidnappings, deceit and of course romance. One of the things that really frustrated me though was how Alexa kept denying her love for Damian when in fact, she was madly in love with him. The only thing that was keeping her from marrying him (in the beginning) was how she thought of herself. But, I will admit that when she finally did accept her feelings and told Damian about them, I was ecstatic. Sara B. Larson really did keep her readers in suspense with that one aspect of the story. Although the book is frustrating at time and will make you want to kill some of the characters (out of hatred), I do admit this is a fantastic read.
