An extremely well written book about one young girl's life in occupied Poland, her years in SS slave labour camps, and a horrendous death march as the war is ending. One of the distinguishing features of this book is the story continues after liberation through the period of physical and mental healing. The epilogue even summarizes the next 40+ years.

Great read, about Jewish survivor of the Nazis.
Hard to believe what humans are capable of.

More entrancing than fiction's best. You realize the intricacy in mankind and the beauty in it. This is one of the best books I have ever read, and without a doubt, my favorite nonfiction & Holocaust novel.
