A huge part of Brene Brown's message is her delivery. This is lost on this CD because if the narrator.

mkbean I am hearing you on the reader. It is hard to get past that and get into the book. Brene's ted talks are so inspiring and this does not have the same inspirational feel. I'm trying to keep focusing on the words and not the speaker.

I'm working my way though this recording as I LOVE Brown's work - but the woman who is the reader is making it really difficult. Her high voice - and somewhat whiny - is really hard for me to listen to - I prefer Brown's reading/speaking herself. May have to order the book rather than the audio.

Perhaps not the most captivating writing ever, but full of wisdom. Decent as literature; essential as message. It's okay to be human. We all are, after all. Accept it, go with it, be it.
