WARNING! - If you take this DVD's title literally, then you're in for a major disappointment._____ Sorry to have to break this news to you, but, in spite of it being titled "Les Vampires" there were actually no "real" vampires (per se), whatsoever, in this silent-era crime serial from France._____ Presented in 10 chapters (with a totally outrageous running time of nearly 7 hours), Les Vampires was the name chosen by a ruthless organization of criminals of about 20-30 men and women who terrorized wealthy citizens (using various methods) with the sole purpose of extorting large sums of money from them._____ In the long run, this serial from 1915 was very slow paced and equally disappointing. In my opinion, if all 10 chapters had been skillfully edited down to about 2 hours I think that Les Vampires would have been a lot more exciting and worthwhile to watch.
