A real disappointment. It ended up being a very poor decision to make MOCKINGJAY into two separate movies. I suppose it was unavoidable, and no doubt the bottom line for Lionsgate was hefty, but PART 2 really has nothing to recommend it. The Peetna-Katniss stuff goes on incessantly -- to the point of nausea -- making we wonder, "Are there really any teenage girls out there who this arouses?" Also, there is the obligatory scary monsters in the dark tunnel sequence, something moviegoers have sat in witness to every year since Ridley Scott made ALIEN in 1979. (Just think if somehow Scott could have copyrighted that scene, he would be as rich as Warren Buffett.) What is sorely missing from MOCKINGJAY, PART 2 is the rousing political allegory that made the first three movies such a treat. Like the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy in the run up to the invasion of Iraq 15 years ago, THE HUNGER GAMES series spoke to our Occupy Wall Street world ruled by the 1%. To lose the political allegory is to lose everything.

The movie is captivating and overall great. I am wondering if there would be a future Hunger Games with Catniss and Peeta's kids.

I loved it!
But I kinda wish it wasn't ending there. She had kids with him and her sister died.
It was great!
