"No-one is better than Diana Henry at turning the everyday into something special. Here is a superb collection of recipes that you can rustle up with absolutely no fuss, but which will knock your socks off with their flavor. Peppered throughout the book are ingenious ideas such as no-hassle starters and sauces that will lift any dish. From Turkish Pasta with Caramelized Onions, Yoghurt and Dill and Paprika-baked Pork Chops with Beetroot, Caraway and Sour Cream to Parmesan-roasted Cauliflower with Garlic and Thyme, Diana takes the kind of ingredients we are most likely to find in our cupboard and fridge - or be able to pick up on the way home from work - and provides recipes that will become your friends for life,"

Although a touch fancy-schmancy, I am excited to try several of these recipes. What I really, really like is the sauces and the gremolatas! Always nice to have those for meat dishes.

Love this cookbook! It is for more avid cooks as it’s not super easy and involves some odd ingredients, but each dish I’ve made comes out wonderful - I think I’ve made 20 recipes so far, so I strongly recommend!

Misleading title. The "Simplest" recipe had 15 ingredients. I agree that there is nothing wrong with wine, but a "Simple" recipe should not have wine plus 12 spices (five of which I do not own) and a cheese I have to drive 20 miles to purchase.

Nothing wrong with wine as an ingredient! Amazing recipes from award-winning Telegraph food writer Diana Henry.

Nearly every single recipe has weird ingredients and/or wine. Probably a better book if you are a gourmet cook, know where to find the ingredients AND have the money to buy them. This cookbook was not helpful to us at all, as none of those applies to us.
