this is a pretty powerful read for progressive Christians and I think helps interpret religion in a way that is actually useful and not just rule bound or as false justification for discriminating and hating against others.

Borg's personal story is a wonderful guide to and through progressive Christianity.

While reading reviews last week I was sad to discover that Marcus Borg died on Jan. 21, 2015.

This was the 6th book of his that I've read and I look forward to reading others that he has written.
