Honestly, I had a hard time getting into this one for a while. It could be because there are so few characters from the other Troubleshooters books, so it was like starting fresh, even though there are dangling storylines from earlier in the series that could be addressed. I do like the characters, and the plot is interesting. It really picked up at the end, though, and the final showdown and resolution were both very satisfying. Once again, Brockmann provides strong men and women who contribute equally to one another on every level. Ultimately, I'm looking forward to seeing them again as the TS series continues. Plus, there's a bonus short story in the back of the hardcover edition with a little taste of Sam and Alyssa to tide over longtime readers.

Nash & Tess' story.
Was disappointed in this one. I love this author but something was lacking in the character development. The suspence part of the story was good - lots of action and mystery. It was the romance plot. The end was very abrupt and a total character 180 which was hard to believe.
