For years, the government has put out hits on people that they found "expendable," or who they felt were "talking too much," covering up their assassinations with drug overdoses and mysterious suicides. In Dead Wrong, a study of the scientific and forensic facts of various Government cover-ups, Richard Belzer and David Wayne argue that Marilyn Monroe was murdered, that the person who shot Martin Luther King Jr. was ordered to do so by the government, and examines many other terrifying lies we've been told throughout our country's history. The extensive research shows how our government has taken matters into its own hands, plotting murder whenever it saw fit. Belzer and Wayne also examine the deaths of White House Counsel Vincent Foster, U.N. Weapons Inspector Dr. David C. Kelly, and bio-weapons expert Dr. Frank Olson, as well as the cases of two murders directly linked Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th President of the United States."Big Brother" is watching you—through the scope of a sniper rifle. Dead Wrong will give you the straight facts on some of the most controversial and famous deaths this country has ever seen. The harsh reality is that our government only tells us what we want to hear, as they look out for their own best interests and eliminate anyone who gets in their way. Much good, some not so good with this book, especially read pp. 102 - 116 for the best details - - based upon the FACTS - - on Lee Oswald. Also, Mr. Belzer has outstandingly correct details on the murder of Frank Olson by the CIA - - he left out only one really recondite detail, probably because he hadn't heard of it yet, that Mr. Olson had witnessed a non-volunteer, a low-ranking British enlisted man, in a painful and deadly experiment in the U.K., which caused him to submit his resignation [see Bob Coen's book, Dead Silence]. My exception: the culprits cited as the murderers of Bobby Kennedy, wrong direction, and doesn't explain the coverup by the LA police, the judge, et cetera. Definitely connected to the murders of President Kennedy and Rev. King. Had the authors researched the obits on Valerie Schulte's family, the connections to Lockheed/MK ULTRA would have been startleling! [The wrong mystery witness, Schulte, had an aunt and uncle who worked in the same classified area at Lockheed as Thane Eugen Cesar, and Valerie Schulte's father, who worked at Technicolor Corporation, worked on a classifed contract with Lockheed. The security chief at Lockheed was Richard Nixon's previous VP/Secret Service detail bodyguard, who left there for Lockheed when VP Nixon lost his presidential bid, then the same SS fellow would leave Lockheed to become Nixon's security on his presidential campaign after Bobby's murder.]

On the death of Marilyn, this book missed a very important part, like, Dr Hattem’s story of the conversation between Bobby Kennedy and Peter Lawford at around 4am the following morning:

“In the FBI files, the FBI is recording Kennedy saying to Peter Lawford ‘Is she dead yet?’”I am not sure why this book is trying to cover up the connection to the murder of Marilyn and it's direct connection to the Kennedy's through the mafia smokescreen. I have no problem with blaming the mafia for anything they have done. Perhaps this was a set up BY the FBI clear down to the sloppy death scene.

I certainly learned a great deal. This book was interesting in the various pieces of evidence, but so overly repetitive that it was odious it just wanted to fill up pages. Perhaps the repetition was to instill permanently the evidence. OVER AND OVER AND OVER again….YIPES!

From The Realist (Summer, 1991):
Bush SR. was directly involved with JFK assassination.
“Bush was working with the now-famous CIA agent, Felix Rodriguez, recruiting right-wing Cuban exiles for the invasion of Cuba. It was Bush's CIA job to organize the Cuban community in Miami for the invasion.... A newly discovered FBI document reveals that George Bush was directly involved in the 1963 murder of President John Kennedy. The document places marksmen by the CIA. Bush at that time lived in Texas. Hopping from Houston to Miami weekly, Bush spent 1960 and '61 recruiting Cubans in Miami for the invasion....

This book did have some interesting facts. But I found the constant repetitive comments to be a little annoying. But it was worth the read.

Not clear and concise like UFOs ,JFK and Elvis.Often repetitive and uncertain...Who really wrote this burden of a book?..So Belzer puts his John Henry on it for $$$$.CRAP!

Very informative. Too bad it was not edited properly as it is repetitive.

I found this book to be interesting. I was not before aware of many of the details surrounding some of the events detailed in this book. I was however disappointed to find that two of the three authors are best know as actors. I also found the number of websites and you tube videos listed as references disconcerting. Many of the facts supporting their ideas are repeated three or four times and sometimes even underlined, which I found to be a bit repetitive.
