An American schoolteacher relocated to Germany in an area plagued by a satanic cult that murders and tears out the hearts of anyone who betrays it. One afternoon Miriam accidentally hits an elderly pedestrian, Moebius. Alarmed, she takes him back to her house to recuperate, only for him to secretly drug her and then secrete a hallucinogenic insect in her nostril, clearly targeting Miriam for a sinister plan.

Not sure why the library got 7 copies of this. One was enough. When the hype on the back cover of the case boasts "over 45 hours of color correction done in America, exclusive to this release," you know you are in for a humdinger of a flick. Color correction, yeah, that's a huge draw. I love Italian "Giallo" and have quite a few in my collection, but this would never be one of them. Like many bad "Giallo," this flick suffers from extended periods of boredom between brief shock points. Also, the end is another one of those "What was that? Did she really say what I thought she said?" moments where either the translation is off or the writer fell asleep at the keys. I saw this back in the day as "The Devil's Daughter" and didn't realize it until the DVD started. There are plenty of better Dario Argento products to watch ("Suspiria," "Profondo Rosso," "L'uccello dalle piume di cristallo") and even director Michele Soavi had a better effort with "The Church." Try those instead.
