Just bad and very disappointing! I didn't even finish the first disk, which rarely ever happens! There was nothing to maintain one's interest! Dark, and one disaster after another! Nothing to balance the story nor characters! I, generally, do like Sci-fi, but this is not it!

This is a smart series, and one that is very genre-bending. To classify - the first season plays as a tense, realistic thriller about hackers doing something that will radically change society and our finances; the second season becomes a slower, more methodical look into mental illness (equally intriguing), and now this season, which now appears to be tipping its toes into the waters of sci-fi or speculative fiction.
Mr. Robot is a beautifully rendered atmosphere that is a marvel to gaze at visually (and the music!). The writing is smart and does not allow for lazy lines or slow pacing just to dumb down for an apparently unaware audience. It also drops clues to its overall mystery right from the first season's episodes and therein throughout, which create a long-game payoff that has honestly been some of the most rewarding viewing for me in what I see is a completely saturated TV series' market that doles out quick rewards and easy nostalgia, such as Stranger Things (I do appreciate that show, mind you).
Most of all, Mr. Robot gets me thinking - about my life in today's chaotic world, my role and responsibilities, and what the purpose of our modern existence could be about. I like that because it never gets preachy while positing itself directly in my lived experience (I mean, Season 3 actually includes President-Elect Trump in the narrative!).
Noticed I never gave away any plot summaries? Even if I did, it would not matter - the joy in watching this series is to be lost in it for hours with the engaging cast and storylines that just hook me completely.

Season 3 of perhaps the most Zeitgeist-y show on television (Cyberterrorism! Occupy! Hackers! Economic meltdown!) gets darker and weirder. This is one of the few shows where I often don't know what's going but still enjoy it. Bobby Cannavale joins the cast.

This series started out so strong and appealed to all. However this season just didn't match up. The over all theme was dark and depressing, primarily focussing more on mental illness and death rather than tech. Disappointing

This is a completely original series. After finishing this third season I feel compelled to start all over again!
The complexity is mind blowing. I've learned to just go with the flow and not worry about trying to keep up; the emotionality shines through, because this is ultimately about human connections and intricacies couched in both the sinister and ideal universe of hacking and technology.
