A butterfly that lives forever is really not a butterfly at all. I want to live, however briefly, knowing that my life is finite. Mortality gives meaning to human life, Captain. Peace, love, friendship, these are precious because we know they cannot endure.

Comment
Add a CommentWith it's success pivoting on the aging but still-charismatic Patrick Stewart, the upstanding "Star Trek: Picard" is significantly better and more engaging than "Star Trek: Discovery" (whose plot and new characters are less compelling and made me mildly sleepy). Both DVDs are for Star Trek fans only (like my wife and I), as these series rely on sci-fi tropes and the impact of nostalgic series' characters.
I was very curious to find out how this new show was going to play out. My husband and I were really looking forward to watching each episode and weren't disappointed. There was a great mix of former Star Trek characters and new characters to keep it interesting. Highly recommend it!
Requires extra focus early on because of this series' many past and new characters. After the first disk, a pleasure to enjoy the plot lines, dialogues, CGI, sci-fi twists, actions and outstanding actors.
The minute the studios announced a Star Trek series with an older Picard with Patrick Stewart I knew it was going to be really good. Intrigue galore and of course it excellent. Good to see some if the older characters too.
