This is a 1981 British docudrama directed by Hugh Hudson. It tells the fact-based story of two athletes in the 1924 Olympics---Eric Liddell, a devout Scottish Christian who runs for the glory of God, and Harold Abrahams, an English Jew who runs to overcome prejudice. Since I'm NOT a religious person, it's kinda difficult to identify with Eric Liddell. Harold Abrahams runs to overcome prejudice but, compared to "Race (made in 2016)", the impact of his cause is less than that of Jesse Owens, who won a record-breaking four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games.
