This final book in the Chaos Walking trilogy had me hooked from the very beginning and I couldn't stop reading. A hard-hitting examination of war, conquest, and the consequences of settling in another world. The best part about this book was the many different points of view, including not only Todd and Viola who we had already met in the first two books, but the people from the scout ship and the 'Spackle.' The point of view from the two 'Spackle' or The Land as they call themselves, was for me, the highlight of the book. Patrick Ness managed to portray these differing views delicately and each person had a very distinctive voice. It was a well crafted novel. Well done.
